Always looking for a new challenge, Tyler found CrossFit in May of 2012. “I fell in love instantly. It was different from everything else and that’s what kept me so interested,”he says. He immediately became a student of the sport studying everything about it to be the best he could be. “Beginning CrossFit, I had my sights set on competing, which helped pushed me to become better a athlete.” He received his level 1 CrossFit trainer certification in early 2014 and immediately sought to become the best coach he could be. “My passion for helping others is what drives me every day while coaching a class. The feeling I get while seeing people push themselves past their comfort zone and do something they never thought that they would be able to do compares to nothing else. When people reach that goal they have set for themselves it gives them a sense of accomplishment and self-worth in both their mental and physical abilities that not only add to their quality of life but adds to mine as well.” To continue his journey to help people improve in their daily life, Tyler has chosen to attend McNeese State University, and is studying human health and performance/exercise science. He plans to graduate from McNeese and attend physical therapy school. Outside of coaching he enjoys competing in team CrossFit competitions and extreme obstacle races. He has completed the trifecta in the Spartan races for 2015.
